Engel RR conducted a double-blind experiment with 33 patients with mild primary degenerative dementia, who took 300mg of PS or a placebo daily for 8 weeks. The findings revealed that the majority of PS-treated patients scored more favorably clinically than placebo-treated patients, and their brain electroencephalogram (EEG) signal fractal strength tended toward normal ranges, indicating a better state of health.
