Extraction Method

(1) Ultrasonic and/or leaching sandalwood leaves with ethanol to obtain a crude ethanol extract of sandalwood leaves;

(2) Liquid-liquid extraction of the crude ethanol extract of sandalwood leaves with petroleum ether, chloroform and ethyl acetate in sequence; the ethyl acetate extract is collected, concentrated and dried to obtain an ethyl acetate extract;

(3) The ethyl acetate extract obtained in step (2) is separated in a chromatographic column; the separation uses an eluent composed of ethyl acetate and methanol for gradient elution, the eluate is collected and combined, and the eluate is recrystallized to obtain isovitexin;

(4) The residual liquid after recrystallization in step (3) is subjected to preparative liquid phase separation and purification to obtain isovitexin.
