What is Thyme Extract Oil

Thyme Extract Oil is obtained by steam distillation of the above-ground parts of the Lamiaceae plant Thyme and its flowering period. It is a reddish-brown liquid, which can be colorless or yellow after deep processing. It has a cool, dry herbal aroma, and has the fragrance of linalool, terpinene, etc.
Thyme is a dense, woody-based evergreen subshrub with small, aromatic gray-green leaves and purple or pink flowers that bloom in early summer. It usually grows 6 to 12 inches tall and 16 inches wide. Thyme is best planted in hot, sunny locations with well-drained soil.
Thyme tolerates drought well and even severe cold because it grows in high mountain areas. It is planted in the spring and then continues to grow as a perennial. The seeds, roots or cuttings of the plant can be used for propagation.
