What is Pyrethrum Extract?

Pyrethrum Extract is a natural plant compound extracted from the inflorescence of Chrysanthemum cinerariifolium, a plant of the Asteraceae family. Its main component is pyrethrin. It is easily soluble in organic solvents such as alcohols, chlorinated hydrocarbons, and nitromethane. The activity of pyrethrin is rapidly hydrolyzed in alkaline liquids, and then loses its insecticidal activity. Extraction Process
