Product Introduction

What is azadirachtin powder?

Azadirachtin powder is a white to light yellow powder extracted from the seeds, leaves and bark of the neem tree. It is a botanical insecticide and is recognized as the best biological pesticide in the world today. It is characterized by high efficiency, low toxicity, broad spectrum, little interference with natural enemies, no obvious vertebrate toxicity and crop damage, and rapid degradation in the environment.
Azadirachtin has antifeedant, repellent, systemic and growth-inhibiting effects. It mainly acts on the endocrine system of insects to reduce the release of molting hormones; it can also directly destroy the epidermal structure or prevent the formation of epidermal chitin, interfere with respiratory metabolism, and affect the development of the reproductive system. It has a special mechanism of action and multiple action sites, and pests are not easy to develop drug resistance. It has a strong antifeedant and insect growth regulating effect and can be absorbed by plants. It has antifeedant activity at 0.1 mg/kg, and 0.35 mg/kg can make the sticky insect antifeedant. It has a strong antifeedant effect on brown rice hoppers and can prevent egg laying. It is safe for humans and livestock. It is precisely because of its existence that the neem tree has the magical function of repelling insects and curing diseases.

Azadirachtin powder

Modern research shows that azadirachtin and other ingredients extracted from neem fruit are currently recognized by the world as broad-spectrum, high-efficiency, low-toxic, easily degradable, and non-residue insecticides with no drug resistance. They have a killing effect on almost all plant pests, indoor bed bugs, fleas, flies, mosquitoes, etc., and do not pollute humans, animals, and the surrounding environment. At the same time, neem also has a medical effect on many diseases and will be more widely used in medicine.

Mode of action as a botanical insecticide:

Its active ingredients are similar to many hormone substances in insects in structure and composition. When pests inhale these neem active ingredients, their own hormone balance is destroyed, the endocrine system malfunctions, metabolism, growth and development are disordered, and the brain and body parts are disordered, resulting in loss of reproductive function and inability to reproduce, which ultimately causes a decrease in the number of insect populations. The production and release of hormone substances necessary for the growth and development of many insects are inhibited. As a substitute, these "simulated hormones" participate in the metabolic activities of insects, causing serious damage to the growth and development of insects.
1. Stomach poison effect

The agent enters the pest's digestive tract from the mouth and is then absorbed by the midgut. However, due to the toxicity of the agent, the pest's digestive system is destroyed, resulting in damage to the insect's midgut or interruption of nervous system transmission, and finally the pest dies.

2. Contact effect

The agent directly contacts the insect's epidermis, penetrates into the insect's body through the spiracles, and transports the agent to the site of action in the insect's body through the open circulatory system, which leads to the death of the pest.

3. Fumigation effect

It refers to the toxic volatiles entering the pest's body through the pest's respiratory system, causing the pest to die.

4. Repellent and antifeedant effect

The antifeedant effect is when the pest's taste receptors are inhibited, it will feel disgusted with food and stop eating until it dies; the repellent effect is that the special odor of the agent volatilizes into the pest's olfactory organs, causing the pest to leave its habitat or oviposition site.

5. Growth and development inhibition effect

When insects feed on plants with insecticidal activity, the growth and development of insects will be affected: their growth and development will be slow, the development period will be shortened or prolonged; the larvae will be incompletely developed and deformed; the eggs will fail to hatch, etc.

Usage:

It can be used in a variety of ways such as spraying, soaking, and irrigation. The specific method of use can be adjusted according to factors such as crop type, pest type, and pest degree. The following are several common methods of use:
Spraying method: dilute azadirachtin and spray it on crops. The time and frequency of spraying need to be adjusted according to different crops and pests.

Immersion method: Soaking crops in azadirachtin solution for a certain period of time can effectively control root pests and pathogens.

Irrigation method: Irrigating azadirachtin solution directly into the soil can effectively control soil-borne diseases and pests in the soil.
