Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate Liquid is a light yellow to colorless liquid. It is an esterified vitamin C derivative and the most precious one among vitamin C derivatives. It penetrates into the skin and is converted into vitamin C to play the role of vitamin C (hence it is also called vitamin C inducer). It has good oil solubility and can be widely and quickly dissolved in esters, vegetable oils, ethanol and hydrocarbons (except polyols). At the same time, it is mild and non-irritating and can also be used on sensitive skin. It is a class of drugs composed of a variety of different mixtures that can inhibit the activity of acidic peptides (DPP-4) and thus play an anti-diabetic role.
It shows excellent performance in stability, transdermal permeability and conversion ability. Its macromolecular structure formed by esterification reaction enables VC-IP to maintain extremely high stability in vitro, and its activity can still remain above 85% after being placed at room temperature for 6 months. Performance Study

With the increasing number of cosmetics containing antioxidant vitamins, studying their stability is crucial to ensuring product quality. The study compared the thermal behavior of ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate and tocopheryl acetate in base cream. Thermogravimetric analysis (TG/DTG) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) found that these two vitamins showed good stability below 250°C.
The transmission process of this product in the skin was simulated by molecular dynamics, focusing on its percutaneous absorption. The results showed that the process of VC-IP molecules penetrating through funnel-shaped hair follicles is slower than that through the stratum corneum, and they show higher mobility and lower affinity in the hair follicles. In contrast, VC-IP molecules have a stronger affinity for the stratum corneum and a more direct penetration path.
